Dispatch Robot AI helps you find the best loads by automatically searching the load boards and notifying you of best options. Our algorithm considers two key data points, static load data and dynamic user data. Here's a video:
1) Static Load Data
Loads have a several important attributes; length, weight, deadhead and rate.
For each attribute we assume that:
- Less length is better
- Less weight is better
- Less deadhead is better
- A higher rate is better
Opening a load search on Truckstop, DAT, or 123 Loadboard will result in hundreds if not thousands of loads.
For this example and to keep the numbers simple, let's say a load search results in 10 loads. Sorting the loads by rate from highest to lowest:
- The highest paying load would get the best score, 10 out of 10
- The second highest paying load would get a 9 out of 10
- Down to the cheapest load getting the lowest score of 1 out of 10
Next we will sort by weight, the lightest load gets a 10 out of 10 and the heaviest load gets the lowest score of 1 out of 10. Repeating this sorting from least to greatest for length as well as deadhead and adding the scores together gets a total sco. The algorithm compares the loads and notifies you of the highest scoring loads.
2) Dynamic User Data
With that being said, a static load data recommendation algorithm doesn't take into account an individual user's preference. This is where the machine learning aspect of the model comes in.
As you use the load board and interact with loads, we keep track of your interactions of each load. For example; emails and phone numbers you click, as well as which loads you star.
We use your interactions to improve the load recommendations.
